Prime Minister Alexander De Croo stressed an accelerated pace of vaccination against the coronavirus, with around 28% of adults receiving a first dose.
“If things turn out the way they are developing now, we can continue our plan to open up outdoors on May 8,” he said at a press conference. “The reopening of our economy, our social life will follow vaccinations.”
The government has decided that restaurants or bars can be served outdoors until 10 p.m. with a maximum of four people per table.
