Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives arrested four men last month following an investigation into the alleged kidnapping of another man from Sydney’s lower north coast.
At around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, a 50-year-old man was allegedly confronted with a 46-year-old man near the intersection of Parraween and Winne streets in Cremorne.
A short time later, the two were approached by two other men, [allegedly] force the elderly man into a vehicle.
He was then driven to a property in Bringelly, where the two men and another unknown man allegedly attacked the 50-year-old man and threatened him with a gun.
About an hour later the man was driven to the Belmore area and released.
The incident was reported to officers at North Shore Police Area Command on Wednesday, April 20, 2021 …
After extensive research [police] arrested four men aged 27, 29, 42 and 46 years old at 6 a.m. today.
The men have been taken to local police stations where charges are likely to be brought.
Officials are currently executing search warrants on homes in Sutherland, Caringbah, Brighton Le-Sands, Banksia and Marrickville.
